Eugene Textile Center supports survivors from Kenya

A special Quilts for Empowerment program will be held at the Eugene Textile Center Gallery Friday, May 18 at 2:30 pm. Mary Ann McCammon will share how QFE benefits women who have suffered from obstetric fistulas and abuse. This program demonstrates how to make a difference and will show the results. The public is invited to come and become a part of the solution. The art work created by women in the QFE program will be available for purchase in the ETC Gallery May 2-30. All profits go to Quilts For Empowerment, a 503(c)(3) non profit organization.

In addition to hosting events like this one, Eugene Textile Center offers classes and studio support for anyone with an interest in handweaving, surface design on cloth, and other non-woven fiber techniques. ETC is located at 1510 Jacobs Dr, Eugene, OR 97402. Please visit the ETC website for more information about the gallery.
